Lauren has trained and danced with Susan Hurst, Pat Riddle School of Dance, Junior Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, The Centre, New World Ballet, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Debbie Allen Summer Dance Intensives, Joffrey Ballet Summer Intensive, New York Baroque Dance Company and Point Park International Summer Dance.
Lauren graduated with dance honors from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in 2007. In high school Lauren was a member of Repertory 1 Dance Company, Repertory 2 Dance Company, Luna Sol (ballet folklorico), and Entertainers (musical theatre). At Arts Magnet Lauren had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as, Desmond Richardson, Dwight Rhoden, Adam Hougland, Lynda Davis, Dawn Hampton, Jean-Phillipe Malaty, Philip Neal, Tom Mossbrucker, Kim Abel, Melissa Glasgow, Dylis Croman, Ruth Andrien, Erin Barnett, Fernando Hernandez, Moussa Diabate, Keisha LaLama, Max Stone, Jeffrey Gerodias, Brenda Daniels, Keith Thompson, Gabriel Masson, Margarita Bruce, Jay Franke, Catherine Turocy, Robert Battle, Jessica Lang and Debra McWaters.
After graduation Lauren attended the University of Arizona to study ballet, modern, and jazz. In Arizona Lauren trained with Jim Clouser, Sam Watson, and Susan Quinn and performed in The Dance Department’s Last Chance to Dance.
Lauren has danced professionally with Events in Motion “Millennium Dancers” under the direction of Ellen Hess. She was a member of Votum Dance Company where she performed the Nativity Ballet in Little Rock, Arkansas as well as Plano & Fort Worth, Texas.
Lauren has performed on the main stage of University of North Texas in student and faculty works and performed “No More Dry Tears” choreographed by Edmond Niles, “Choking the Earth? Just Take Off Those Clothes and Join the Water in D-Flat” choreographed by Shelley Cushman, “Blessed” choreographed by Bebe Miller and performed student choreographed works at ACDFA the past three years.
Lauren is a recent graduate of the University of North Texas with a BFA in Dance Performance and is excited to join The Dance Company..
