Jonathan became interested in dancing at an early age after being inspired by watching Michael Jackson videos. At the age of twenty-one, he began taking hip-hop and jazz classes offered at his school in Raymond, Mississippi where he achieved a sense of choreography and developed skills in dancing. Later on that year, he made his first stage performance at the college's winter concert.

The following year, Jonathan moved to Dallas, Texas, where he began teaching at the University of Texas at Dallas. That same year, he also began training with Fenton Fulgham and was a member of Elite-Ftroop Dance Team at Revelation Dance Studio.

He recently worked with the choreographer of Step Up 3D, Jamal Simms during the Superbowl weekend in Dallas and opened for music artists Drake and Mystikal.

Jonathan’s influences also include Keith Green, Keith Clark, Jenny Durbin and many other choreographers.
