Randy Guthmiller is a senior at Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts (FWAFA) and a Fort Worth native. He has been involved in the arts since a very young age. He is a dancer, musician, visual artist and actor.
At the age of four, Randy began his dancing career. He studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Clogging, Hip-Hop and Modern. He has been fortunate enough to study with FWAFA, Arts Fifth Avenue, and Larry Howard. In addition, he is a scholarship recipient at Frances Lea Dance Center and with the Legacy Tap Project.
He has won many awards for his dance such as Director's Award for Outstanding Leadership, Clogger of the Year and Most Dedicated Student. In addition, he has won awards through various dance competitions.
Randy has been in a multitude of musicals and stage productions all over DFW. With FWAFA he performed in the Betty Buckley Award winning production of Singin' in the Rain. Not only was he featured in Thoroughly Modern Millie but he also choreographed the tap sequences for the production. He recently made his operatic debut in Pirates of Penzance and he has been in various mystery dinner theatres.
He is very blessed to be so talented and loves sharing his talents with others. Randy has been teaching dance for four years and is also a private art teacher. The arts have influenced all aspects of his life and will have a tremendous impact on his future.
