Miss Mandy began taking gymnastics at the age of two and has been a competitive gymnast for over 12 years. She has competed internationally and was the 2005 USA Gymnastics Level 7 State Champion in all-around, uneven bars, and balance beam. Miss Mandy was named to the 2008 Fort Worth Star Telegram Super Team and to the 2008 Dallas Morning New All-Area First Team for high school gymnastics. She had an amazing 2007-2008 competitive season, in which she placed 1st in all-around at nine competitions, 2nd in all-around at Districts and was the 2008 Regional Balance Beam Champion. In addition, Miss Mandy placed 9th on uneven bars and 4th on floor in the 2008 state finals. She is currently the captain of the AISD gymnastics team for the 2nd year and was named Most Valuable Gymnast and Gymnast of the Year for the Arlington school district in the past two years. Miss Mandy was part of the drill team at Martin High School in 2006-2007. She has been instructing at Lone Star Gymnastics in Forth Worth since she bgan her coaching career. Miss Mandy has been coaching all ages from preschool to competitive gymnasts and tumblers for three years. She strongly believes that the two most important things when working with children, no matter what their experience level, are the children's safety and that they have FUN every time they come to class.
